Later the day of the phone call I returned to the café for an appointment, this with another friend of many years. Our talk covered various topics, beginning with my summary of the news I had received by phone within the last hour. From there we talked at length concerning our families, the grandchildren and our involvement therewith.
My friend’s willingness to listen to my story about the phone call and the effect it was having was greatly valued. His willing heart was truly being relevant for the Lord.

but the Lord establishes their steps.— Proverbs 16:9
